I cut my educational 'teeth' in the
London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Brent and Ealing in the 1970s
and 1980s, working in infant and first schools, all with nurseries,
moving out to my headship of a large, nursery and infant school
in Basingstoke, Hampshire, 1990.

from 1973 - 1987 I was head teacher at primary schools in

I
retired from Hampshire County Council – Children’s
Support Services in July 2006. I originally started with what
was the Hampshire Microtechnology Centre in 1989 after an
18 year gap from working. It was there I met Anthony and Tony
who were Primary Advisers and a long and enjoyable work relationship
was established. Anthony and Tony retired from Hampshire and
set up Gatehouse Partnership Limited along with Gale, who
was the Head Teacher of a school in Hampshire with whom I
had close contact whilst administrating for the NOF and SLICT
projects – Gale was a trainer for both of these projects.
When I retired in 2006 Gatehouse asked me to join them as
an administrator for the Company on a part-time, working from
home basis and I was pleased to accept their offer. Since
retiring I have joined a bowls club and along with the usual
pastimes of gardening, bridge etc. I have joined the “I
don’t know how I found the time to go to work brigade.”
I am enjoying my work for Gatehouse Partnership Limited and
it is interesting and rewarding to see the Company growing
and flourishing.
