| Gatehouse Partnership Celebrates
The Creation Of A Website For The Young People Of Waltham Forest
Date: 10-01-2007
Gatehouse Partnership has recently
been used as consultants, to help create a web site for the London
Borough of Waltham Forest’s Young People.
This challenging project started with Gale and
Anthony meeting with Suzanne and Bettina, from LBWF and Sophie from
the web site designers Antersite www.antersite,com,
to advise on the development of a web site to serve the needs of
the young people (0-11) in the Borough.
The project was a development of the existing,
successful site for Young People (11-19) Forest Flava www.forestflava.org.uk.
Gale and Anthony visited primary schools and family
support centres across the Borough, to gain the views of children,
parents and carers, so that the new Borough web site can genuinely
reflect their needs.
It was a privilege to visit so many well-run schools
and centres, and hear the spontaneous and enthusiastic ideas from
young people and their carers.
We have enjoyed the firm and professional relationships we made
with Suzanne and Bettina, from Waltham Forest and Sophie, from Antersite.
Anthony and Gale will return to support the evaluation
and, no doubt, critical responses, from those young people, as the
web site starts to roll out in 2007.
