Gatehouse Partnership have decided that we would like to support CLIC Sargent as our nominated charity.
Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years.
As the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is there… with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way.
CLIC Sargent has one simple aim: to ease the impact of childhood cancer on children, young people and their families.
What does CLIC Sargent do?
- They are here to help as many children and young people as possible survive cancer and make the most of their lives
- They help the whole family cope with the trauma of cancer, life after treatment and, in some cases, with bereavement
- They make sure that young people with cancer and their families can speak out about their needs and get involved in how we meet them
