Primary School E-Safety Courses

Gatehouse Partnership Ltd is able to deliver tailored Internet Safety messages to the main stakeholders, the young people, staff, governors and parents, using different formats and materials to suit the age groups.
The materials cover the following key areas:

  • Keeping Information Private
  • Contact with Strangers
  • Cyber-bullying

We can offer sessions for each of the main stakeholders, Young People, Staff, Parents and Governors.  All sessions are delivered by our experienced and well qualified Associate Paul Hay.

Primary School E-Safety

Internet Safety Day

To Include:

  • Teacher preparation training
    • 1 ½ Hour session to happen at least 2 days before the day
    • Explain classroom activities
    • Discuss the issues
    • Make then comfortable with the topic
    • Show material and leave CD
  • Young People
    • Assembly for Y1-3 – 25 minutes
    • Assembly for Y4-6 – 25 minutes
    • Activities in Classroom. Dependent on pupil age, which can include
      • Poster making with key messages
      • Mask Making
      • E-Safety board game
      • Fake Facebook site exercise
    • Facilitator to tour classroom to answer follow up questions
  • Parents
    • 2 hr evening presentation and discussion to help them understand the issues young people face when using the Internet
      • What young people do on-line
      • What the dangers are
      • Steps to take to help them and their children keep safe
    • Or
    • 1 hour session before pick up or after drop off highlighting what the young people have heard
      • Focus on the key safety messages of safety for primary pupils
      • Show the same material the young people have seen.
