Strategic Leadership Day Conferences for Primary Schools
The national SLICT programme for Head Teachers (2002-06) proved to be central to the development of ICT in schools. As original SLICT Directors, we felt the time was right to organise an up-to-date version based on the six elements of the Self-Review Framework. The Strategic Leadership for Primary Schools Day Course will emphasis will be on sharing knowledge and expertise, allied to understanding the next steps required in your school in the light of recent educational cutbacks and our children’s future needs. The opportunity to spend a day concentrating solely on ICT Development in your school is a rare one and having the chance to share and discuss with other school representatives and well-known and respected facilitators is even rarer.
It was a superb day in which I could spend time with my ICT team to think strategically with excellence in mind, about the next steps for our federation. Having the ICT Mark framework to reference against and the support of Gale and Anthony who have seen excellence in schools up and down the country

Who is this Strategic Leadership Course for?
This one-day Strategic Leadership conference is for a member of the SMT (preferably the Head Teacher) accompanied by the ICT Leader/Coordinator. Large or Federated schools have sent three people. As this is a Strategic Leadership conference, attendance by one SMT member and the ICT Leader is expected.
What is it about?
Each session will start with a short presentation followed by group discussions based around one of the Elements of the updated Self-Review Framework. The emphasis will be on sharing knowledge and expertise, allied to understanding the next steps required in your school in the light of recent educational cutbacks and our children’s future needs.

The Cost
For the academic year 2011/12, the total cost for the day (with two-course mid-day meal) will be £300.00 per school (£400.00 for three delegates).
