ICT Health Check Service

Gatehouse has specialised in Naacemark and ICT Mark work over the past seven years.  During that time we have supported schools from often the most basic of ICT provision to one of ICT Mark standard, utilising our own extensive knowledge and understanding and working with Head Teachers and ICT Managers to plan progress and assess achievement.  This has always been carried out with sympathetic yet rigorous personal and professional support throughout, with each school’s needs paramount and with a positive and good-humoured approach.

Some schools have said that they are not interested in gaining Awards, others have not felt the need for a series of support visits and a few have expressed no interest at all.  However, ICT remains one of the most strategic areas within the National Curriculum and, for the benefit of children everywhere, it is important to get it right.

Gatehouse is offering schools the opportunity to have an ICT Health Check.  This review would be based upon the six areas of the Self-Review Framework (SRF) without any requirement to work towards an accreditation or online benchmarking.  We are offering the following three levels of support.  Our Rates can be located on our Rates Page.

Basic Level

a half day visit, with a verbal report, benchmarking your school against the six areas of the SRF and highlighting important next steps

Main Level

a whole day visit, with a written report against the six areas of the SRF feeding directly in to the school’s ICT Action Plan, and post-visit email/telephone support

High Level

as Main Level but with another half day visit planned six months later to review progress against recommendations.

If your school is interested in pursuing any of the above, please contact us via the Booking Form  or telephone us on 01252 540497 when we would be pleased to discuss your needs and aims and arrange a visit as soon as convenient.  As already mentioned, ICT remains one of the most strategic areas within the National Curriculum and, for the benefit of children everywhere, it is important to get it right.
